Throughout his distinguished career, he has received numerous accolades, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists' “Most Outstanding Endocrinologist Serving an Underserved Population” award and the American College of Endocrinology’s “International Clinician Award,” among many others. Currently, Dr. Litonjua remains an active consultant at Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital, and Manila Doctors Hospital. He continues to oversee the programs and initiatives of Diabetes Center Philippines, an organization he founded to promote nationwide diabetes awareness, train educators across the country, and run an annual youth camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
